Founder and Managing Director.

Mark is the founder and Managing Director of Divorce-Online.

Mark founded the company whilst working in the legal profession as a senior family law practitioner way back in 1999 and effectively invented the concept of online divorce in the UK and beyond as we know it today.

 

Mark is one of the founder members of the Institute of Paralegals and is a Fellow of the Institute.

Mark was also the Entrepreneur of the Year for Wiltshire having won the prestigious award at the Wiltshire Business of the Year Awards on 29th February 2008.

Mark's aim has always been to help people undertake their own divorce proceedings without needing to employ high street Solicitors and paying their high costs.

Angie Ingram.

Head of Legal Practice.

Angie is our in house Solicitor and Head of Legal Practice She is individually regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority.  An experienced family lawyer she started her career as a legal secretary, studying towards and qualifying as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives prior to joining the roll of Solicitors in 2001.

She has many years experience in law, having worked in both private practice and more recently in the public sector.

Angie is responsible for ensuring we as a company uphold the highest standards of client care and proberty and ensures the company complies with all legislative requirements

Stuart May -F.Inst.Pa.

Senior Operations. Manager.

Stuart May is a Fellow of The Institute Paralegals and is responsible for supervising the team who process all the divorce applications that our client's create through Divorce-Online.

Stuart's primary mission is to make sure all cases go through as smoothly as possible by managing the Divorce Team's caseload and ensuring they have the resources to prvide a first class service to all of our clients.

Pietro Perugino

Web Development Manager and Certified DBA

Pietro is responsible for the development of all internal and external systems within the company and has been working in an Internet and software development environment since completing his studies.

His experience includes working on legal software and case management systems as well as general web and high end database development as well as network security and payment gateways.

His primary mission is to make all our services as easy to use as possible from both a user and client experience and to develop the best and most secure online case management and volume legal document processing system in the UK.

Toni Freeman

Client Relations Manager

Toni Freeman is our Clients Relations Manager

Toni comes from a client facing commercial background.

She is responsible for managing the team dealing with all inbound enquiries whether new clients or our existing clients as we treat both as equally important.

She is utterly focussed on providing our clients with simply an unrivaled service with better than excellent response times.

She also ensures that our users are directed to appropriate forms of legal help where we are unable to assist, such as Solicitors, Legal advice centres and mediation services.
 

MIchelle Usher-Benwell - F.Inst.Pa

Senior Case Manager

Michelle is a senior Case Manager and Certified Paralegal for the managed divorce services following our rapid expansion in 2008.

She has over 10 years experience working in various roles in family law and comes to us with a wealth of experience in all aspects of divorce procedure and is an invaluable member of the team.

David Parsons-Hann F.Inst.Pa

Senior Case Manager

David is our senior Case Manager and Certified Paralegal.

David joined us from Her Majesty's Court Service where he was in charge of a busy family section as our senior Case manager.

His experience of court procedure and the inner workings of the court service is immense and he is looking forward to helping our clients achieve as smooth a divorce procedure as is possible.

Jackie Penney - A.Inst.Pa

Associate Paralegal- Office Administrator

Jackie Penney is an Associate Paralegal member of the Institute of Paralegals and is in charge of all our administration processes.

She ensures the functions of the offices run smoothly.

Kirsty Boorman- A.Inst.Pa

Associate Paralegal - Consent Order Administrator

Kirsty Boorman is an Associate Paralegal member of The Institute of Paralegals and is responsible for the smooth running of our consent order department.

She liaises with our clients, the drafting Solicitors and with the courts to ensure our clients receive the very best service possible.
 

As well as working very hard during the day, Kirsty is studying for a law degree via the Open University and hopes to become a qualified Solicitor in years to come.

Victoria Jones

Trainee Paralegal

She is a Trainee Paralegal and is doing a post graduate diploma as well as her work based training to qualify as a Specialist Family Law Paralegal in the very near future.

She is responsible for managing the online diary system, updating case notes, document retrieval and dispatching certifcates.

 

Kate Covell

Legal Executive

Kate Covell is an experienced  family law practitioner and is a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives and is a self-employed  Legal Document Assistant and adviser for Divorce-Online.

She has many years experience in family law in both public and private practice and is an invaluable member of the team.

Our 3rd party Solicitor Contractors

All our consent orders and other deeds are drafted by  Solicitors in private practice who are regulated by the Law Society  of England and Wales and hold appropriate insurance cover.

Scotland

Our Scottish self help service ia provided by a retired (non practising) Solicitor who is acting as a paralegal. He does not undertake work reserved to Solicitors in Scotland

Divorce-Online - The concept

Divorce-Online literally invented online self-help divorce services  in the UK in 1999. Our ground breaking software enables UK divorce clients to produce their own completed documents at a fraction of the cost and time of a high street Solicitor.



 Any other "reserved" legal proceedings are drafted by external experienced Solicitors.

How can our company draft legal documents?

Quite simply, we don't.With the advent of the Internet and advances in legal software, we are able to provide a powerful and intelligent document creation tool to enable our clients to prepare their own legal documents with our software.

Any other services we provide such as consent orders and agreements are drafted by external qualified Solicitors on our client's behalf.

Like Solicitors and other professionals we choose to hold professional Indemnity Insurance to protect our clients, in the unlikely event something should go wrong.

All our staff are trained to a very high standard and are subject to mandatory continuing professional training to ensure they are well versed in the latest regulations and legislation relating to divorce and family law procedure and client care. All staff have to undertake at least 12 hours of training each year.

Divorce-Online is also a free, content rich resource for people in a divorce or separation situation. It allows them to access a wealth of information and services regarding family law matters. We believe in providing as much free information as we can to help our users make informed choices.
